About the Chef Chef Peter Blakeway came to Tauranga from the UK with his young family in March 2004, opening the Deli on Devonport in May 2005 which he sold in May 2010. Previously Chef Proprietor of the award winning Kilcamb Lodge in the Scottish Highlands for ten years, Peter received awards including the Good Hotel Guide’s ‘Hotel of the Year’. Peter has also worked in several Michelin starred restaurants in the UK & USA.
